1. QUALITY CABINETRY.

As a focal point in any kitchen, the kitchen cabinetry can take a beating. Storing heavy dishes, pots and pans and food can really take its toll on your kitchen cabinets. Investing in high quality cabinetry is one of the best ways to ensure your kitchen remodel will stand the test of time. Depending on your design, you will want to choose either framed or frameless cabinetry. Framed cabinetry is more conservative while frameless cabinetry can offer more modern designs. Clean, crisp lines and square corners also offer a timeless design. In terms of materials, spending the money to have cabinets that are made out of high end materials will also last longer than manufactured plywood or laminate. Wood is the most expensive cabinetry materials but is also the most resilient. Quality cabinetry will include wood in the frames, doors and shelves adding to the resilience of the cabinetry. By choosing all-wood cabinetry designed and manufactured by a quality kitchen cabinet maker with an innovative finish you will ensure your cabinets last through the years.

2. QUALITY COUNTERTOPS.

If you’re remodeling your kitchen one of the best ways to ensure it stands the test of time is investing in quality countertops. Although today’s laminate countertops have come a long way in quality, colour and design selection, to ensure timeless countertop design that will last through the years granite, quartz and marble continue to be the best options. These natural countertops offer the timeless design and resistance needed to stand the test of time. Quality countertops are functional and offer resilience from temperature and the abuse they take in the kitchen.

3. OPEN AND UNIVERSAL DESIGN.

Creating a kitchen design that is open with universal elements is not only more functional but will definitely stand the test of time. The openness will enhance the space of the kitchen within the home while a universal design will offer functionality as you and your family continue to grow within the home. Regardless of what stage in life your family is in, a universal design will continue to be functional.

Remodeling your kitchen can offer a fresh new look to your house, but by integrating these three design ideas you can also ensure your kitchen lasts through the years and stands the test of time.
